A Companion of Kings

The peregrine falcon has been the greatest hunting companion of kings throughout history. The peregrine has been used for sport hunting from China, to Persian, to Great Britain. Nobility in particular were drawn to the majestic raptors.

Falconry is illegal in some places where falcons are considered endangered but some countries still use falcons to hunt for sport.
